BP protest rally and other summer events

Summer is in full swing. Hope you are enjoying our great weather.

–Rough news about the BP oil gusher. See below about the local Move-on rally to protest BP Tuesday.

–Reminder that RPM suspends our regular monthly meetings these 3 summer months. We are remaining active and supporting other local events. We will have our annual progressive picnic on Monday, July 12th. We have invited all local groups and will have an update from them. We are also hosting the Democratic US Rep. candidate George Gaulrapp. http://www.gaulrapp4congress.com/ The picnic will be free and contributions will be donated to his campaign. (see below for details)

The Peace Vigil continues every Wed and the weather is very pleasant. That, combined with Michael’s harp playing, really makes it a peaceful experience. The vigil has been getting some great press lately and we have positive feedback from cars and people passing by.
