RPM update and other progressive events in Jan.

Hope your new year is going well but America had a rough week. Check out this cartoon that is a great commentary on the tragedy. http://editorialcartoonists.com/cartoon/display.cfm/94716/
We can be proud of Pres. Obama’s response. If you haven’t had a chance to see his speech at the memorial service check it out here. http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/post/maryhough/gGMbqC

As you know, we did not hold a RPM meeting this month but will resume on Monday Feb. 14th. The Steering committee is meeting Jan. 24th, so if you have any suggestions for topics let me know.

There are some upcoming events you may be interested in. Move-on is holding a planning/potluck meeting on Tues. Jan. 18th. Rockford Chip Association is sponsoring a documentary about food and disease on Tues. Jan. 25th and Winnebago County Democrats are holding their annual fundraiser on Fri. Jan 28th. See below for details.

Hope you chose to continue to make Rockford a progressive community.

Yours in peace and progressive change.
