RPM shows Food film fest movie

Rockford Progressive Meetup is showing the first food filmfest movie Monday April 11th at 7PM at Just Goods. See below for a list of all the details and movies being shown.
Here is what the Documentary “Food Stamped” is about.

Food Stamped is an informative and humorous documentary film following a couple as they attempt to eat a healthy, well-balanced diet on a food stamp budget. Through their adventures they consult with members of U.S. Congress, food justice organizations, nutrition experts, and people living on food stamps to take a deep look at America’s broken food system.

We will have time for a discussion afterwards so if you have information about hunger in the Rockford Area, please come and add to the discussion.

Also I want to alert you to a new progressive group-

Stephen Crockett is starting a progressive network of business people including those who are part-time self-employed who support pro-Democratic, union-friendly and/or progressive ideas and values. Join his facebook group at Check it out.
